Sidewalk patios in Harbord Village always tug at different needs and interests of business owners/clients and of the neighbourhood. After all, sidewalk patios are on public property.
Secondhand Sunday Comes to Harbord Village on April 28.
Secondhand Sunday is happening right outside your house, and you’re invited! Sunday, April 28 is your chance to share any unwanted, reusable items. Simply leave them on your property next to the sidewalk or curb for your neighbours to take for free.
Saturday, April 27, 10 am – 12 pm
Join your neighbours at the annual Harbord Village Community Clean up, Saturday April 27, from 10 am-12 pm. Meet at Piano Piano, 88 Harbord St., at 10. Clean up to be followed by lunch and prizes from 12-2 pm.
On Feb. 7, HVRA Board Member Bob Stambula made people listen when he told City Budget Committee about uncleared sidewalks in our area. Downtowners pay the same taxes as suburban residents, but we don’t get our sidewalks plowed by the city, even though we have more pedestrians.
