Everyone who was in Margaret Fairley Park on Sunday, Sept. 10, would agree that this year’s HVRA Fall Fair was a great success. From noon to 6 pm, the music never stopped nor did the good times. Kids ran between face painting to dancing to swinging in the play area.

The many, many months of hard work and discussions by the Friends of Margaret Fairley Park and the City have resulted in a park that offers something for just about everyone.

The OMB will decide about redevelopment of 698 Spadina after all. Since 2014, HVRA and other neighbours have been engaged in discussions with the University of Toronto and Daniels Corporation about plans to demolish the buildings at the northwest corner of Spadina and Sussex in order to build a 23-storey residence with beds for 549 students.
