UrbanToronto.ca tells us that Knox Presbyterian Church has filed an Official Plan Amendment application with the City of Toronto to redevelop its property on the southwest corner of Spadina and Harbord. The application presents two options, both calling for more residential density (including affordable units) along with an expansion of the existing church.

On 17 October 2017, Toronto and East York Community Council unanimously passed a rezoning application to add an 11-storey infill to the south of the “tower in a park” apartment building at 666 Spadina. The OMB will decide about redevelopment of 698 Spadina after all. Since 2014, HVRA and other neighbours have been engaged in discussions with the University of Toronto and Daniels Corporation about plans to demolish the buildings at the northwest corner of Spadina and Sussex in order to build a 23-storey residence with beds for 549 students.
