Bloor St. Planning: Meeting Thurs. June 23

6:30–8:30 pm, UTS Auditorium, 371 Bloor W.

Let’s make sure Harbord Village is well-represented at a public consultation meeting this Thursday. City Planning has prepared a Bloor Block Study to update zoning rules on Bloor from Walmer to St. George. That’s just on the edge of Harbord Village, and new zoning will set a precedent for our area too. If you like parks, come and make sure that one is included in this plan. Add your voice and your wisdom to the discussion!

You’ve already heard about the very tall buildings being proposed. Here are the most recent developments:

  • New zoned heights will be proposed at Bloor and Spadina
  • Heritage protection limiting heights will be discussed
  • There is a possibility that the surface green P parking lot on Huron behind the church could be converted to a park. This idea needs your support!

More details about the current proposals are available on the City Planning page for the Bloor-Annex area: www.toronto.ca/planning/bloorannex.
