It’s almost here! The annual HVRA Fall Fair is set for Margaret Fairley Park between noon and 6pm on Sunday September 8.
And, yes, Sun. Sept. 8 really is the correct date! Some of last year’s flyers were distributed in error on Tues. Sept. 3. New ones will be coming soon.
Share laughs with your neighbours, enjoy live music , eat delicious food, and enter the silent auction and ongoing raffles for a chance to win prizes. It’s fun for all ages.
Enjoy BBQ, baked goods, live music, silent auction, raffle, kids activities, community tables, and more! Bring your family and friends – meet your neighbours – renew your HVRA membership! We look forward to seeing you there!
The Fall Fair needs your help! We’re filling up our volunteer roster and are looking for folks who care spare a couple of hours before or during the event. Teens can get their high school volunteer hours! Also looking for sweet treats for our bake sale and items for the silent auction. Contact one of the organizers below to sign up.

MUSIC: Here’s the music schedule as a PDF file, with timings for Carlo, Roaming Pipe & Drum, Annex Academy of Music, The Amazing Tubular Orchestra, Caledon County, The Garage Boys, Mid-Century Modernes, and the Reel Deal.
SILENT AUCTION: It will be another exciting one! Again this year we have a 3-night Georgian Bay Cottage stay, a one-night staycation at the charming Annex Hotel, and sessions with our favourite Toronto Organic Gardening company and with arborist Todd Irvine. There are great tickets to a TFC game, and a 3-month membership at the JCC. Plus books, biking gear, eyewear, food baskets, household goods, and lots and lots of gift certificates to your favourite neighbouhood restaurants, cafes, and stores.
GARDENERS’ TABLE: One of the many display sites for neighbourhood projects. Look for a handsome blue sign and come by to pick up free copies of Fine Gardening magazines and free packages of seeds, including many for native perennials. (A partial list with IDs and brief growing instructions is here.) Stay and chat with fellow gardeners!
POSTER: Here’s an image of the correct poster! You’ll see it on poles and windows around the neighbourhood already, and will soon receive it in your mailbox. Discard the 2023 poster, printed and delivered in error. .
