Ceta Ramkhalawansingh: 50 years of activism

A Jan. 16 article in the Toronto Star celebrates Ceta Ramkhalawansingh for her decades of work in community activism and her achievements as an academic leader. Currently serving as honorary president of the Grange Community Association and member of the Grange Park Community Council, Ceta helped HVRA with several initiatives during and after her interim term as City Councillor in 2014. The citation for her Spring 2015 HVRA Community Builder award thanks Ceta for participating as a party at the Ontario Municipal Board hearings on the Central Tech field and for working energetically with residents’ associations on the development at 245 College.
