A Nov. 27 article in UrbanToronto.ca celebrates the Bloor-Annex BIA’s announcement of four new parkettes along Bloor Street. Three are on the Harbord Village side, at Robert, Major, and Brunswick, with the fourth at Howland. Site design is by the firm DTAH,
UPDATE: It was another great neighbourhood event at Margaret Fairley Park! The day was cool, windy, and cloudy, but the rain held off. Crowds enjoyed music, games, food and drink, raffles and a silent auction. Our promise of the best party of the year came true again.

After several years of contention and discussion, all parties have agreed to a plan for development of properties at the northwest Sussex-Spadina corner. The final stage of discussion was confidential mediation by James McKenzie of the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal (formerly the OMB).

On July 12, Councillor Joe Cressy and HVRA hosted a community meeting to discuss the next phase of our Green Master Plan and to envision a new public park at the north end of 666 Spadina, flanking Sussex.
The Harbord Village Green Plan identifies opportunities to create new green spaces.
The right-of-way on the western flank of the grocery store at Bloor and Robert will become a parkette.
The Nov. 24 Gleaner News carries a page 2 note by Geremy Bordonaro on plans for more green space along Bloor from Madison to Bathurst.
On Saturday, 14 October, The Doctors’ Parkette and Margaret Fairley Park were officially opened. Councillor Cressy praised HVRA for providing support and interest in helping to create these two wonderful, green additions to the neighbourhood. Special thanks were given to Richard Longley for his vigilance and interest in the renovation of The Doctors’
