Spring Meeting, Wed. 16 May

As predictable as daffodils, the Annual HVRA Spring Meeting is happening on Wednesday, May 16, from 6:30-9 pm at Kensington Gardens, North Building, 45 Brunswick. Come to catch up with neighbours  and to find out what HVRA has been doing and is planning. It’s also a chance to renew your membership or make a contribution to HVRA. Bring cash or your cheque book. (Or of course you can renew or donate online ahead of time on the HVRA Membership page.)

The guest speaker is Sheila Murray from Community Resilience to Extreme Weather (CREW), a citizen-led group whose mandate is to work with local groups and citizens to enhance emergency preparedness and community resilience for extreme weather events. She will be speaking about how communities can prepare themselves for extreme weather events. After those 95 kph winds of last week, it seems a very timely subject.
