2016 Annual General Meeting

CHANGE: The AGM is on Monday this year. Come to Kensington Gardens North Building (45 Brunswick) on Mon. Oct. 17 at 6:30 pm. Share concerns and ideas with other residents in your area, hear what HVRA has been doing, and be entertained and informed by guest speakers who will tell us more about plans for Greening initiatives in our area.
Paid-up HVRA members can vote at HVRA general meetings. There will be a Membership table at the door — or you can save us and yourself time by visiting our new Membership page to join or renew.
Business at the meeting will include a vote on Amendments to the HVRA Constitution that propose a new Vice-Chair position and add term limits. New Board members will also be proposed and elected.
INVITED SPEAKERS: Along with area caucuses and brief reports from the HVRA Board and Ward 20 Councillor Joe Cressy, the meeting will feature presentations about the rollout of the Harbord Village Green Master Plan, intended as a pilot for other areas of the city.
Robert Mays from the Public Realm section of Toronto Transportation Services will outline first steps in implementing our plan, including the distinct possibility of new street-corner plantings to replace some of our concrete street planters. Prof. Pete North and his students from U of T’s Faculty of Architecture, Landscape, and Design will also bring ideas about greening laneways and city boulevards.
