Considering rooftop solar for your home? Want to understand if it’s worth it? Got more questions than answers? Then join the HVRA Net Zero Project’s next webinar: “Rooftop Solar: What You Need to Know”. It will be a practical information session about installing solar PV panels with plenty of time for Q&A.

Headshot of 4 presenters
The four presenters: Nageen Rehman, Diane Saxe, Jody Salomon and Michael O’Neill

Our main speaker is Nageen Rehman, Program Manager in the Environment & Climate Division in the City of Toronto, where she manages the Solar TO program. Previously, Nageen worked in the renewable energy sector for over 8 years, developing projects both locally and in UK and US.

To meet the City’s Transform TO goal of having 50% of community-wide energy with renewable or low-carbon sources by 2030, the Solar TO program was developed. Nageen’s presentation will give a overview of the services offered to residents via the Solar TO program, including the SolarTO Map, an interactive online mapping tool which enables residents and businesses to quickly estimate the rooftop solar potential of their buildings.

Councillor Dianne Saxe will say a few words at the opening. After Nageen’s presentation, we’ll hear from Jody Salomon and Michael O’Neill, two homeowners who have had solar panels installed on their homes. They will describe their experiences with the installations.

When: Monday, June 12, 2023 from 7 to 8:30pm
