10 WAYS TO REDUCE SKUNKS AND RACCOON PROBLEMS
1. Store your garbage where animals CAN’T get at it.
2. If you use garbage bags, put them out the morning of collection – NOT THE NIGHT BEFORE.
3. If you put garbage out the night before, use ANIMAL PROOF containers
4. Report garbage in lanes, incidents of improper garbage handling, etc. to City Works at 416-392-7742. Document the details.
5. If you compost, use an enclosed (top, bottom and sides) ANIMAL PROOF compost container.
6. Seal off wildlife nesting sites in and around your house and garage. See and click through for details on "how to make your home wildlife-proof." (make sure you’re not sealing in any animals or their young – call humane society 416-392-2273 for more info)
