Brunswick-College Parkette Design Competition
Submissions
In January, 2011, students and professionals of environmental design and people who live, work or run businesses in its neighbourhood, were invited to share in the re-imagination and re-engineering of the Brunswick-College Parkette. A design competition was launched, and 27 submissions were received from eight countries: Canada-13, Italy-7, US-2, UK-1, Argentina-1, Germany-1, the Netherlands-1, Portugal-1.
A panel of experts reviewed the submissions this spring and selected their favourites for the park.

We would like to thank our 27 submitters. All of their submissions are beautiful, all are the product of tremendous amounts of work, imagination and thought and all of them would improve the Brunswick-College parkette enormously, if they were realised. (Regarding which, all designs have been sent to Kensington Health Centre and Toronto City Parks, joint owners of the parkette site. We will advise you as soon as we learn their response and, especially, when the urgently-needed re-design and reconstruction of the parkette begins.)
