Again! As well as examination of these materials and resources, we urge all participants to visit the Brunswick-College parkette, if they can – before they design their entries and make their submission – to walk through it, sit in it, observe how it is used and to imagine how it might be re-designed to better serve all members of its diverse community.

Important:

  1. As the sponsor and organizer of the Brunswick-College Parkette Design Competition, Harbord Village Residents’ Association reserves the right to select and combine the ideas of different entrants in any executed design, with appropriate credits on site, if this is deemed likely to produce the best possible result.

  2. While HVRA lacks, at present, the funding needed to implement a winning design, potential contestants should be aware that interest in this prominent site – on the part of local residents and businesses, Kensington Health Centre, Toronto Parks and representatives of the local homeless community, is intense. Because of those shared concerns, HVRA is convinced that this competition will attract, from a variety sources, the funding needed for refurbishment of the parkette.
